Ancestry of Fern Hewett Faulkner of Fairfield, Iowa

Fern Hewett Faulkner (1) is the daughter of Edwin J. Hewett, born 19 June 1853 and Anna J. Gantz, born 25 November 1859, died 11 December 1919. Married 31 March 1886. Edwin J. Hewitt (2) is the son of Gilbert Wilkerson Hewett, born 25 February 1815 and Rocena West, born 25 August 1829, died 21 April 1919.

Rocena West Hewett (3) was the daughter of Anson West, born 12 March 1794, died 16 September 1881, married Hannah Gates. March 1816. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the War of 1812 at Plattsburg, N.Y.

Anson West (4) was the son of Nathan West, born 22 March 1763, died at Minerva, N.Y. 1 April 1835. Married Martha Titus at Vershire, VT, 16 July 1787. In 1777 he enlisted as a fifer in the Revolutionary War, served 6 years and was honorably discharged in 1783, was pensioned in 1818.

Nathan West (5) was the son of Ebenezer West, born 9 April 1731, married Wait in 1759.

Ebenezer West (6) was the son of Samuel West, born 23 December 1672, died 1763 at Lebanon. Married Martha Simmons Delano at Duxbury, Mass., 30 June 1709. She Was the daughter of Jno. and Mercy Peabodie Simmons and a grand daughter of Elizabeth Alden, who was the daughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullens who came in the Mayflower, in 1620.

Samuel West (7) was the son of Samuel West, born 1642, died at Duxbury, Mass., 1689. Married Tryphosa Partridge 26 September 1668.

Samuel West (8) was the oldest son of Francis West, a carpenter by trade, born Salisbury, England in 1606, died 2 January 1692, married Margaret Reeves, 27 February 1639. He came to the Plymouth Colony in 1630.
